Privacy policy
Effective September 26, 2026. Publisher: Kyle Lloyd.
This beta searches a fixed public reference library. It has no accounts, private-library connection, upload service, advertising, analytics scripts or application cookies.
Queries and model flow
When ChatGPT calls a tool, this service receives the tool arguments, including your question and selected public source IDs. It processes them in memory and returns public passages and metadata to ChatGPT. The service does not call an additional AI model. OpenAI separately handles your conversation and tool results under its own policies. Do not include personal records, credentials or sensitive information in a query.
Storage and logs
The application does not persist questions, tool results, private documents or conversation history. Access logging is disabled. For abuse controls, it keeps a salted hash of the connecting IP address and timestamps for a rolling 60-second request window, with bounded capacity. Inactive entries are removed on the next request or server restart; the salt is replaced on restart. It does not keep the raw IP address in that counter.
Infrastructure provider: Render. The provider processes traffic and may retain technical/security logs separately from the application. Recorded provider log policy: Render Hobby dashboard application logs retained 7 days; SourceToMe access logging is disabled. Infrastructure/security processing remains subject to Render policies.. Application errors are restricted to operational diagnostics; query content is not intentionally logged.
Retention and controls
The public book texts remain part of the service. There is no user library to delete. Transient query arguments are discarded after processing; abuse counters are removed as described above. For provider-log concerns, access requests or questions, contact sourcetome.support@proton.me. Avoid sending sensitive records in a support message.
